An explosive bouquet of fresh and sweet notes opens with accords
of mandarin, accents of marzipan, lemon and the sweetness and
fascination of orange blossom. The heart has magic and evocative
notes, with ylang ylang, absolute of lndian jasmine, violet and
almond diffuse an aura of seduction, opulence and sweetness. The
intense notes of patchouli and blackcurrant sublimated by tonka
bean infuse a pleasantly glamorous sillage.
...I really discover the deep roots of a culture on the edge of every place in the world. Today I am really lucky, it is the patron saint’s day and there
is excitement and an infection enthusiasm for the event in the alleys and
lanes of this village near Agrigento. I return to the celebrations after an
evocative stroll through almond blossom and I am welcomed by an intense
fragrance of citrus fruit and marzipan, coming from the houses, where
the women are preparing the traditional sweetmeats. The feast day is a
triumph of colour and in the lanes children are playing and climb up on to
the old Sicilian carts which take part in the procession, colourful and proud
of their ancient history.
